When Walter Martin released the first single for his upcoming album, The Bear, I knew it would be a project worth exploring.
To pitch the project to Martin, I assembled a 7-minute proof of concept using the song and commentary pulled from Martin's Instagram. Not only did he agree to the project, but he was also instrumental in getting the various guests for the show; Pillars of the indie rock scene, artists, an Oscar nominated composer, and even his own mom.
Production took place over the following year as I graduated college, landed my first career job at Stitcher, got married, and bought my first home. These large life moments paired well with Martin's sentimental lyrics, giving the entire project a very intimate feel.
